WHAT THE HELL!! this thing is just falling apart

well the trying to die when i stop is getting worse, the clutch is slipping like owl snot, and now today the gear shifter feels real clunky and jerky through 1-3rd gear. im getting tired of this.

Welcome to Ford, enjoy your stay :)

Hmm maybe this commitment to quality has some tie to the nearly junk bond status of Fords shares...

Wow, that was a helpful post. Jerk.
Have you checked the fuel filter? Maybe the spark plugs? I'd at least try resetting the ECU. Sorry I can't be of more help.

trying to stall while coming to a stop is most likely the TPS or Throttle position sensor!

actually if it were the TPS, it would be the total opposite. Mine went out and would rev sky high if i let the clutch out in neutral and would also propel itself cause of the revving.

If you want humor, go watch the Comedy Channel. Here we talk cars, and we might even take exception to our Ford's being bad mouthed .... kinda like the husband who knows his wife is messing around, but he'll kick the crap out of you for saying it!

Please... realize what car you are driving. A Ford afterthought.

Also you need to realize that fords QC on their cars are worse than ANY asian or korean mfg, even worse than GM... which is stunning on its own.

If it doesnt have a F150 badge, or a Mustang badge, Ford could care less.

On a purely from a quality control stand point the car you drive, the car I drive, the car most people in this area of the forum drive... SUCKS. I have owned Subaru's, Saturns, Dodge's, Honda's and Toyotas... NONE ever have had as much go wrong by 30K miles as this car has... Pretty much I have come to look at every part in the engine bay, tranny, and even interior as suspect to failure out of no where.

With all that said, its a fun car to drive, and I really like it. (which is saying alot for how many problems it offers). But lets not sit around here in denial about what our cars are... they are lazy, half ass built rigs, and could have been much more and much better if Ford would have just let it.
