Ported and polished head

First question.... Is it worth it?

http://www.cncheads.co.uk/ford_st170.html

I phoned them and asked for a price of the work..... its 2800 to have;

Ported Polished Head with Hand finnish
High Lift custom CAMS
Uprated Springs
New retainers
Piggyback ECU with full dyno setup to use new stuff.

They said to me this should then have a 50-60bhp increase at the fly.... Totaling about 195bhp at the wheels.... BHP is slightly different to your HP.

Oh and about 155 Ft/Lb torque at wheels....

Is it worth it?

LOVE N/A power!!

I'd say that it's worth it...

That's quite a bump in power. Like Carrera, I prefer N/A power increases. I say go for it, if you can afford it.

that's not a lot of tq to the wheels for all that money. I'm putting down 138 tq at the wheels with a K&N drop in air filter and a crank UDP

it says a 180 lbs tq at the motor at the wheels.

Considering this would go along with all the bolt ons someone already has, i would expect a much higher tq number. Somewhere probably when all said and done, atleast 200whp and 170lbs of tq perhaps more.

I am looking for either some 5spoke SVT wheels or RS wheels at a good price, send me a PM (preferably with existing tires.. preferably with existing tred heheheh) or maybe even some of the euro 15 (is it 15?) spoke wheels, black.

180-190 was at the fly... its about 155-165ft/ib at the wheels in the real world.... Its not a lot of torque but you dont have any turbo lag!!!
