Hey man I recently put my FRSTS in and I like it a lot. I always thought the stock shifter was too long of a throw and was very pleased after doing the STS. There is a how-to in the How-To Archives at the top of the page. I found the how-to easier than the directions from Ford mainly concerning not having to take the entire center console out. Its not very difficult just make sure you have the tools like the torx bit required ( I didn't and had to run to the parts store in the middle of it, grrr) but it shouldn't take more than 45min an hour even if you go slowly and check and re-check your work.

It really makes a noticeable improvement in shift feel and makes the shifts crisper and cleaner and definitely shortens the throw. I absolutely LOVE mine and if you couple that with a Mac Snubber or the V/F mount (the lower tranny mount) you will like it even better but stear clear of the inserts, I have those and the big one works it's way out all the time and it's very annoying. Both of those mounts can be found at www.C-F-M.com IIRC. Enjoy!
