SVT Stock Hood Question

I bought my Focus SVT used and I noticed the hood has no sort of firewall insulation on the underside.

Do the SVT stock hoods come with no firewall installation on the engine compartment side of the hood?

their should be a heat shield on the underside of your hood.i checked my svt and i have one.i have heard that their is a chance of your paint flaking off due to extreme heat.i would def. call ford about getting one.=)

Every 04 SVT that I have seen has that under the hood. If ford wants alot of $$ for the part, it may just be cheaper to wrap your header.

Moved to “SVT Owners Lounge”...
Definitely a liner on my 04 hood.
In fact, I would think all years should have that liner.

Mine looks a little messed up, small tears here and there. Maybe it was all the salt on the road this winter, becuase it looked fine after last winter.
