Having throttle response problems

Okay so I have a 2003 red SVT Ford Focus and I've been having throttle response problems lately.. I'm not sure what intake is on it but it leads down to the driver side wheel and it rained one day and I hit it puddle and its been messing up ever since.. it didn't want to start so I replace the maf and the Tps it starts and runs but at take off the throttle response is horrible and it feels like its not as fast as it was any tips?

Moved to SVT performance just because a CAI is involved.

Basic answer to start is that the filter needs to be dried, may need cleaning & oiling depending on condition. (assume normal K&N style filter).

It's been about a week or so like I said I replaced the TPS and MAF and I sprayed my throttle cable so you're saying water could still be in the filter?

Possibly not after that time, but if you didn't check it when putting the new MAF in you could have taken it out.

Worse would be engine damage from water ingestion.
