Service life from stock SVT clutch

Hello everyone, I thought it would be kind of fun to make a thread of how long your original clutch lasted in your car, or if it is still in your car. Also, what mileage was the car at when replaced? I still have my original clutch at 141k miles.

119,700 the slave blew, the clutch was fine.

That wasn't even the original clutch, the entire car had a meltdown at 15k. Engine/cat/fuel pump/clutch and more got replaced. Thinking about it more they replaced the friction disc, but left the flywheel so the slave could've been original.

with an asterisk

Up to just over 111K and no slipping yet. BUT, the slave needs periodic bleeding in order to keep the shifting buttery smooth.

Yea as far as the clutch wear,,,,,,Bleeding the slave, You really shouldn't have to unless you replaced it or there's a leak in the line.

If you are gearing down to a stop and you have to come to a complete stop to get it into first gear without a little extra force on the stick, try bleeding it and see 1. If gearing down improves and 2. If the pedal feels stiffer.

All the Fords I drove had developed a very slight air leak in the hydraulic clutch lines after 10+ years.

Sometimes my pedal feels a little different, but most of the time it feels the same. I wonder if that is what it is?
