Broken exhaust nightmare

Brand new here. I've had my 02 SVT for 3 years and last night the flex pipe flange and the flange on the forward muffler broke from rust. All I've been able to find through the usual channels i.e. napa, rockauto ect. has been the entire exhaust assembly when all i really need is the flex pipe and the front muffler. Does anyone know of an inexpensive place to find these? not looking for anything preformence just need to shut the thing up.

thanks
Paul

I had this happen on my first svt when I was in yellowstone of all places. Broke at the flange between stock cat and the flex. Sooo loud it Made your head buzz. Vacationers all shook their heads with disgust when I started up and drove away. haha. There was a small repair shop there and the guy let me use his welder. I cut out both flanges back to decent metal and welded in a small piece of prebent 22* exhaust tubing he had laying around. Any piece the same diameter should do the trick . It worked fine in a pinch. In fact it worked so good I didn't change it, still sitting in the back yard. :(

Easiest cheapest method will be a muffler shop

When mine broke like this, I replaced mine with a used one I got of this site. Try the What To Buy section on here along with Focaljet.com and also try the Focusclassifieds page on Facebook. There are quite a few SVT's getting parted out so I'm sure someone will have one to sell you.
