Well got about 9 miles to the gallon today lol

hey guys, i get a call this morning and that my grandfather is in the hospital due to a heart attack ( my grandfather is my life) and as soon as i hear that i threw the phone and hauled ass, on the way there i had a freakin flat (real nice with everything else going on) so i get the spare on there and im off again, i tell you i really put her through her paces today, when i hit hwy 51 its about 25 miles to I240 and then about 15 mile to the hospital, as soon as i hit 51 i hit the flashers and nailed it, i was literally doing between deleted speeds... the entire way down 51 and then when i got on I240 i was doing the same about deleted speed
and when i made it to the hospital i swear to god it sucked up a little more than half a tank in about 40 to 45 miles.

but he is doing fine now so i feel much better and didnt use as much gas comeing home lol

P.S. yes i know spares are only rated for 55mph, i just didnt care.

Good to hear that your grandfather is ok

I know how you feel, I did ...mph after hearing that my aunt was in the hospital for cancer. I was pulled over by the police and he did not believe me. I begged him to let me go, I even asked him to drive me there. Unfortunately, I got a ticket. However, I later appealed the ticket and won

Geez man, not to knock you down but doing twice the rated speed the spare was made for to get somewhere faster wasn't the best idea. Your grandpa turned out to be fine, how do you think he would have felt after hearing his grandson died in a horrible accident caused by wreckless speeding? My father has had a heart attack, it's very frightening yes, but not an excuse to drive dangerously.

I'll mention the handeling,...There is almost none on a spare I nearly put mine in a ditch on a spare I had it on the RR and slid out too far in a curve at around 55 whare I should have been doing 20 it took me about 100 feet to get it under control. If there would have been an oncoming car it would have been a crash. I could only Imagine having to swerve at triple digit speeds....Glad you lived through it though I surley cant say I've always been a responsible driver either but if you live you learn and hopefully nobody gets hurt in the process.

It's hard to put emotions away in a situation like that,I can sympithisize I was about a thousand miles away when one of my Grandfathers pased away

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, but driving that speed on a spare is not exactly "keeping your head". You're pretty lucky that thing didn't come apart.
