Cams for SVT

I did a search but couldn't really come up with any answers. I am looking for cams for the SVT, but I can't seem to find anything and when I do they aren't available yet. I e-mailed Focus-Sport a couple days ago but haven't heard back yet. Out of curiosity would the cams for the regular Zetec work for the SVT, and if so what all would have to be done to get them to work properly? Does that car need to be tuned afterwards? Thanks a lot guys!

-Mike

try zetecracing.com
Before you do any thing and get more info.
ex. pragramable engine management system,
springs, lifters, cams, bearings and now you can
tune the car so it will idle again correctly.
Do you know the duration your looking for?
possible turbo in the future?
how about nitrous oxide?
what stage of cams are you looking for?
Are you willing to replace your pistons?
Target where you want BHP and compression
this will get you in the ball park atliest.
These are the ? you should be looking for before starting.

in the states we use wheel horsepower, or as i call it real horsepower, as opposed to BHP(British horspower) as far as i know no companies have yet to make aftermarket SVT cams, i guess the diff head specs and variable cam timing are making the difference

I called Gude the other day and asked about the SVT head package. Then I asked about just buying the cams. He said the cams make 18whp, and are about $520 with a core. He had a few grinds, so you may want to call them. I may get a set from there, but I am waiting on FS to see if the Kent ones will be done soon. My problem with Gude is I have to get cores, and it'a already over $500 for the regrind. Maybe the Kent ones will be a better deal. I am guessin gthe Kent ones will be like $5XX anyways...

Hmmmmmm I've not ever heard good things about Gude, may want to really research that. Just a thought.
