Question How much HP do you think I have?

I recently purchased an '03 SVT w/ EAP and the car came with a few mods. I've been kind of curious to know roughly what some of you think the crank HP is and what the wheel HP is. I realize that I'd have to get it dynoed to know for sure, just want some educated guesses. Thanks.

well the only things you have installed that are actually helping you with power are the intake and the udp... the stock svt exhaust is pretty good from what i understand so the magnaflow isnt doing much for you other than sound. once you throw that orp on there that will help out. put i dont have an svt, so im not going to try to make a guess on the hp you are making at this time.

well the last focus fanatics mag had a svt dyno where they installed an exhaust, and a diablo tune. The car was stock besides a drop in filter. They got the car from about 145whp and brought it up to around 154whp. So im going to say your running between 154-160whp, definitly between 155-160+ when you get the orp on. Get a nice tune after that and ull be set. Flywheel horsepower, its hard to determine, probably around 180

It depends on what you'd have dynoed when stock. SVT's dyno around 145, but there are always exceptions. My guess is you'll probably dyno about 150 give or take a horsepower or 2.

The intake and exhaust won't add much and the UDP doesn't really add horsepower - it frees up horsepower being drained by accessories.

With my mods, I'm running 161hp to the ground (only major diff is I have a tune and you don't, exhaust won't gain you much at all).

Flywheel horsepower has to be the most useless measurement of power anyways. whp is what matters. Even from Ford, svt's will all be different based on different variables (elevation, temp, etc.). I'd guess with your mods your could be looking anywhere from 150 to as much as 160ish at the wheels. Honestly though, who really cares? It's not like you're going to turn your euro into a Dyno Queen. Just go out and enjoy driving it, thats why you bought it remember? The other thing about power is that you don't need nearly as much of it if you don't have to slow down as much through the corners

Here's what mommy should have told you to do when you downshift:
1. Step on the clutch
2. Simultaneously slide the shifter into a lower gear and give the throttle a quick, amazingly precise jab to rev the engine to exactly the rpm it needs to be at in the next gear
3. Quickly let out the clutch

Oh sure, It takes a few thousand tries before you get the timing and precision of your jab just right, but the reward is that you no longer suck.
