Talking SVT (ST170) Camshafts

Noticed from ffoc that:
Catcams now have steel billet camshafts available for the Focus SVT (ST170).

They've got 6 profiles from drop in on the std ECU with variable cam timing to Full Race with no Variable Cam Timing.

The profiles are not linked on the main site yet but if you visit
www.catcams.be

Enter 2291011 in the search box then click on engine information the profiles can be viewed (including the specs for the std cams).
Clicking on a part no. gives more information.

Don't know what they can give us, but I think it's the first step.

I don't know why you'd want to drop cams into it, you loose a lot of torque and are only really good for you if you're running F/I. I know if I keep my engine N/A I'm never putting cams in it. And on top of that the cams are crazy expensive and really only give you 15hp.

Let's see what unfolds in the next year in regards to SVTF cams, I'm eager to to see what they come up with. It'll be great to see them incorporated in turbo and SC setups, and how tuning will affect the overall outputs in HP an TQ.
