Aem Cai

Just a couple of questions regarding the AEM CAI. I'm picking one up next saturday, and going to the track early Sunday so I need to know beforehand.

What size filter will I need? I'm guessing 2.5", but it could also be 2.25". I want to be 100% before I purchase a filter (he reused his after going turbo)

Also, what brand/size (length) filters are you all running on yours? Any part numbers for certain brands as far as K&N, etc? Would running one of those filters with plastic surrounding it benefit me being it is low and help keep clean?

Secondhand off my buddy who used it for like 3 months before going turbo.

Hell, $50 can't beat it.

I think they are 3" but 2 1/2" should work also....I'd just ask the guy you're buying it from to be sure.

Just measure it when you get, but I think it is 2 1/2 inches.

Actually I think the lower tube is 3" in diameter and I think the filter is about 8" long, maybe 7". Take a ruler to your friends filter to be sure.

The lower tube IS 3 inches. I bought a K&N filter after I lost my AEM one on the highway.
