SPUN 3x and went on 2 wheels

Well i feel amazingly lucky right now. I was drivin down to florida this past weekend to visit my girlfriend. Anyway im about 1.5 hours north of Palm Beach and it was raining all day with very slick roads. So some guy decides he needs to cut me off and then slam on his breaks about as hard as he can, because there was slow traffic ahead. Anyway there was no way i was going to stop so i gave it a good swereve onto the shoulder (or lack there of) trying to save my baby from injury. Well the lack of shoulder sent me into the median (luckily all grass with no sighns) i spun it 3x and finally stopped as it went up on the 2 driver side wheels and set back down. Me and my friend who was in the car look at each other and w/o even thinking get out and try to get it out. My poor car is in about 2 feet of water but luckily the exhaust tip is fully out of it. She started right back up. Alot of pushing, spinning tires, and luck we got it out of the median which was about 5 feet high and back onto the highway. As we took off i could see the cops coming to make sure everything was ok. We got away before they got there and i was really thankful for that cause its a pretty good fine for goin into it.
Like if that wasnt enough i was backed into a spot at pizza hut and some ass hole hit me and took off so now i have to get my hood re-alighned but luckily no scratch, buffed the lil mark he left out pretty good. That is how strong my lil foci is...yet she is in the shop now for a problem, when i hit my breaks i get a nasty vibration in my steering wheel (prob has been goin on since before the spin) so for anyone who actually reads all this, go and get yourself a cookie

Wow. Good thing you didn't roll. Some people don't consider what their actions will do to other people.

Wow.. samething happened to me, only I was in an F150... and no median.

The cops would not have given you a ticket... its only an offence if you are using the median to make a "U" turn. You made several spins, but no "U" turn... there's a difference.
They would have probly radio'd for a Road Ranger (free service in Fl) and pulled you out. They Tow for free for 20 miles (or 25, can't remember).

Glad to hear it turned out good.... So the Focus is a good stunt car.

What happened to you is certainly an interesing phenomenon about our little cars, I can't count the number of times I've been zipping down the "fast" lane and "a fellow motorist" sees me coming and cut me off. I am impressed with the faith they have in my car, reflexes and abilities, I just wish they wouldn't make me prove it so often.

Lucky that you didn't roll, or spin into a ditch or hit anything when you spun out . That could have been a lot worse! Sucks that after making it out of that okay some jerkass pulls a hit and run on your car. Glad to hear you and your GF are okay.
