Scan Guage trip review

Just got back from a quick 1,400 mile trip to Missouri and back. The casinos sucked big time and even bigger dollars. But that is not the subject of this post.
This was my first time to try out the ScanGauge. This is a neat little $129 toy. I programmed it to give instant readings of MPG, GPH (gallons per hour), RPMs, MPH (corrected). For a while I had it giving the percentage of max power used. You can also program it to give some different readings such as intake air temp, water temp, miles to empty, voltage, timing, and other stuff I can't recall.
It also records all information for today and the previous days driving. Average speed, max speed, MPG, total miles driven, max RPM, gallons used, max water temp, and so on.
On top of all of this you can use it to scan for any engine codes you may have thrown.
This can be used in any vehicle with an OBDII plug in. Yes, it can be moved from one car to another, simply unplug it and move to another car, the only thing you need to reprogram is the size of the fuel tank. That is if you want the miles to empty reading function.
I have mine mounted to the drivers side corner of the dash with the velcro provided with the kit.
All in all I give it a 10 out of 10 for information provided and toy fun factor at a great price.

Pretty cool. I don't think I've ever heard of it.
Thanks for the info!

BTW,
Will it clear codes as well as read them?
And, does it give a description of the code?

I reads the code, it will clear the code, and it gives a web site where you can check out the code.
I still have some reading of the manual to finish.
If you are interested the web site is
www.scangauge.com
