thinking about selling what to do?

Hey everyone. I recently got a new job where I will be making a great deal more money and a chance to promote to another job making even more.

I sold my 01 Lightning (due to getting engaged and needing to buy a house) and have missed having it and my S/C cobra that I had before that. Dont get me wrong I enjoy the SVTF but on a hot day with the A/C kicking it is just a shuttering dog. In the winter the car is a beast. I am wanting to go back to a cobra or lighting just because it is a much more solid daily driver. Dont flame me for this. It is just my opinion.

Poll it up and let me know what option you think I should kick around.

Thanks in advance,

B

You won't get jack for the svt focus, you might as well keep it. Pay it off, be patient and add another svt to your garage.

I'd say go for both... If the new job allows it why not? Lightnings aren't the best in the winter, and gas is much easier to deal with driving the SVTF daily...

Then again, that is just my biased opinion...

Well one good thing is the cool weather we are getting now so the SVTF is running great since there is no need to use the A/C. Also I agree the lightning doesnt do well on snow/ice. My old lighting with 400hp/500tq on the ground would go nowhere with an inch or two on the ground. We dont get much snow here but when he do get a little storm I could pretty much not count on going anywhere with the lightning. The cobra is better since it has T/C but still isnt great.

The main reason I have been thinking about getting a cobra now is because I found one from a private person pretty cheap compared to others at dealers. I couldnt trade the focus that way so I thought of buying the cobra and letting the wife drive the focus until it was either paid off or paid down so she could trade it on something she wants. (she wants a mini).

I guess I can just hang on to the SVTF until the spring and then think about it again at that point.

A friend of my wife's little brother has an 85 or 86 Mustang SVO for sale. The body is in good shape and he only wants 1500. I dont think he knows what it is. I may just get it to beat on for a while. Then I could focus on paying off the SVTF while getting every possible stupid mod I can get for it.

The only problem is the wife. Her neon (that she has wrecked twice and blown the motor in all in one year) is on its last legs so she thinks that my getting this new job means I have to buy her a brand new cooper S.

She is already against the idea of me paying 1500 (about one weeks check) on the SVO so I dont have to leave the SVTF out for days at a time when I am gone.
