Which intake to get?

I'm trying to decide which intake to get for my 03 SVTF. I've been considering K&N, AEM short ram, AEM Cold Air, Steeda, or Typhoon. Does anyone know which one produces the most horsepower gains? Any other pros and cons?

You may also want to look into Wayne Foy's HIA Short Ram.

The AEM CAI will give you the best performance and it sounds very good.

Go with Hypillauto's. Seriously the HIA intake is GREAT. Sounds good and performs wonderfully The AEM Intake is alright, I had that for about a year as of a week ago when i took it off for Waynes intake. The Fitment is not the greatest, it rubs in various areas, the Lower mount for the intake Broke at the weld, and the filter is VERY close to the ground, and I would not drive in the rain, because i could feel it stutter and surge if driving in the rain. Very Bad thing, plus the filter would get dirty in like 2 weeks of driving. Anyways go with HIA's intake, you won't be dissapointed.

Thanks for all the good info. I was leaning towards the AEM CAI, but now, after hearing about the water and dirt issues, I think I might go a different route.

I visited the hypillauto website, but couldn't find anything there about an intake. Maybe they don't sell them anymore? Does any other place sell them?

Does anyone have info about the K&N?

Thanks ya'll.

I absolutely agree, and yes, the sound is so friggin awesome!!! It's very addicting too, I find myself punching it from time to time to hear my baby sing to me!! LOL I have gotten quite a few compliments on the way my car sounds. At higher RPM's it just sounds mean as hell, like someone came along and pissed in it's gas tank mean!! LOL

EDIT: As far as the water goes, don't let that influence your decision because I live in Houston and it rains a lot here and I have never had a single problem with water getting into my intake, not even during the heaviest of rain. As far as dirt, I clean my filter every 3 month's or so, not a big deal.

Stear clear of beep puddles and don't drive at WOT while driving in rain and you will be fine.

Lightbulb intakes

same for me, which one. it is a toss up between the HIA or AEM CAI. both are great but i do have concerns with the water, i know here in corpus what looks like a little rain can be a deep puddle, decisions decisions

Pinacup7 is way off, K&N is proven to have the best gains, and it sounds sick, THere is a reason it is the most expensive. It's the best.

Is that so? Interesting. So which one of the two models that K&N offers for our engine apllication has been proven to be the best?

*Just wanted to add, If it were my money shopping now I'd buy the HIA intake, Steeda SRI, K&N Aircharger......in that order. Not like it matters much but you may as well get the cheapest to purchase if you can.
