Svt Dipstick

just wondering wuts up with the SVT dipstick. The two notches instead of the words " add " and "full" like on my ZX3. is the first notch "add", and the second notch " full" ??
I check it the other day, and had oil well above the second notch on the stick. i guess cause the engine i was hot. im going to check it again tomarrow morn, but wanted to be sure i reading the stick right.

it is always procedure to check the oil when the motor is cold while all the oil is in the pan. do you change the oil? if not, they may have put too much in.

oil capacity is 4.5 qts w/new filter, so 5 would be a bit overfilled.

Depends on how long you let the oil drain. If you start seeing a steady line of oil as opposed to one drop every minute or so....then you're going to be adding more or less oil.

im always drippin before i replace the plug. and for some reason its usually windy under my car, so i have stray drops here and there. the first time i changed it, it went spewing out way farther than i anticipated, therefore creating a huge mess. be careful under there!

I also use Synthetic oil and have a very close oil change schedule. I know the oil is there and I do see it, Oh hell the svt dip stick confusses the shit out of me. Every other car I've owned Including my stang gt and trans am I never had a problem seeing the oil on the dip stick. I also use a K&N oil filter, so my oil capacity could be different. The filter looks bigger than the standard fl2005
