rpms goin down???

i have an aem cold air intake with a 65mm tb and everytime i start up my car and hit the throttle the rpms go down and the car boggs then it stops doin it after the car warms up but still does it once and a while also i ran 16.3 @ 89 mph at the track and every one tells me a stock focus should be running 15.3 i dont know what the prob is so if any one can give me some answers it will be very help ful. i think i might have too much air goin in then there is fuel idk.

double check for leaks, you may have a vacuum leak. also, a 15.3 while possible in a stock svt focus, isn't very common. many factors influence this. the most consistent magazine results were in the 15.6 range (a few magazines had around this time). other factors like temperature, humidity, track condition can influence the times you get. the AVERAGE quarter mile capability of a stock svt focus is a mid 15 in my opinion, there's data to back that up, and it allows for a little bit of variation in either direction for weather and track conditions. your 16.3 is still rather slow considering you have mods, so I would look into whether or not all your clamps are tight. good luck

Check your maf. It sounds like your on-board computer is having trouble with the mass quantity of air. Your car is bogging due to the fact that your injectors are noe giving enough fuel. When you installed your maf did you check air flow direction. However please Always check the easy stuff firstdon't get technical until all the dumb ass stuff gets checked.
