Man it's tempting to sell

Checked out the local dealer tonight. They have a silver 2002 SVT ZX3 with moonroof, 70k+ miles, and new tires (forget what kind, looked decent) on the lot for 16k! Yes, for a USED SVTF! Mileage would be my main concern, and the fact that SVT dealers practically gave these things away! I was hoping for a salesman to come out, but none did. It was in decent shape for the 30 secs that I checked it out, but the mileage is up there for a 2002.

I'd love to have asked them how much they'd give me for my SVT considering mine is a blue 2004 ZX5 with HID's and 15,500 miles, and better warranty. I only paid $16,500 for mine (was marked up to $20,500)... It'd be pretty tempting if they'd offer $16k trade in.

Can you say new black Mustang GT (400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night... this is Black Sunshine)?

Thats insane. That car shouldn't be more than $11K, especially with those miles.

Tell me about it! That's what makes it tempting to see what they'd give me for mine! I'm not too sure what I owe on mine, but it'd be nice driving a vehicle for practically free (other than maintenance and gas)!

With the discounts going on now, you can get a 05 ST for like 15k!

When i traded in my svtf, they didn't even consider giving me more for the HID's. They thought it was aftermarket, and I couldn't convince them otherwise. I had a hell of a time even getting 9k on trade in, let alone the 10.5K KBB says it's worth.

Well, if you ever thought that a dealer would give you what they turn around and sell for, you are crazy. They always mark up at least a few k on trade-in vehicles (and in this case probably more like 6k). But, a new GT would be nice.

With gas pricies and what they will be by next summer i wouldn't even touch a Stang let alone buy one. But hey if you can do it. I say never get in the way of a good goal. I would rather spend that extra gas money from driving a stang and use it to pay off your svt early then start modding it out even better with easier cash flow.

I am in no way saying that you current mods are not enough but only stating how much easier it would to say purchase and aftermarket item when there is no monthly car note floating behind your head. But, I don't even know if you have one so, just a random thought.
I will be considering higher tier future mods for my focus once it is paid off.
