Need help with AEM CAI hardware

Hey guys, can someone tell me the size of the screws for the MAF on the AEM CAI? I bought a used one off someone on another forum, and when it came it was missing a fair bit a hardware. I have managed to figure out what was missing through the install pictures in the how to section. I was missing 2 large hose clamps, the large air breather tube, the small 5/32 tube, and the screws for the MAF. I figured I would reuse the stock hardware, but I just read the instructions and they say not to reuse the stock hardware. Can anyone tell me what size the screws are? If not I'll just have to go to a hardware store with that part of the intake and go through trial and error. Thanks

You are better off going to the hardware store and trial and error fitting them

Don't reuse the Ford screws, more than one person has had them snap and break, leaving the body of the screw stuck inside the intake.

I know the size of the screw, I'll have to look it up. I'll get back.

Okay, AEM's instructions say 8-32 x 1/2" socket head screw. IIRC, the thread/diameter is correct, it's the length that's wrong. I think they should be 1" long, not 1/2" long.

A socket head screw with an Allen fitting is going to be hard to find at most hardware stores. I had the same problem, I ended up taking one of the stock Ford screws with me to the hardware store and finding the closest match.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'll take the stock screw and find the closest match like azdamay said.

I bought mine used as well, and he didnt give me any screws either. I used the stock screws and havent had any problems ...... and its been on and off the car a few times ....... just dont torque them down too much (remember they are small screws).

same here, i just end up using the stock screws as well. i've had the AEM CAI for like 2 years now and it's been on and off like 5-6 times with zero problems with the screws.

Okay, so maybe I'll see if I can find something close and pick those up just in case. I haven't installed this yet, and only about 30-40 days until we start to see snow where I live so I could try and run the stock screws on the AEM just for now (I will be going back to the stock air box for winter)and try any new hardware I find next year.
