Exhaust Cut-out for Nitrous

What do you all think about an Exhaust cut-out. I found a REALLY sweet electronic one w/cutout already attached to it, so all i would have to do is weld it in place and run the switch. I would be using this WHEN spraying Nitrous OR running period. Plus i think it would be cool to play with how far it is open to play with the different sounds, but overall its when running at the track using nitrous. Would I benefit from it? I know i would prolly gain something, as a regular exhaust wont yield gains on our cars, but a cutout would basically be right at the end of my ORP. What ya think? I know it would be god awful loud, but screw it. Its at a track right!!
Here is the link to the Cutout

big diff between a z28 and my svt. My close friend does 11.20s on nitrous in his 02 SS with cutouts. The Cams just RUMBLE that car, lol.
I luv it Im just looking for a lil gain with nitrous with the cutouts.

a cutout allows the exhaust gasses to completely bypass the exhaust system, ie cat, muffler, resonator. this creates a very low backpressure which can improve top end horsepower, but it would not be wise to run one open on a 4 cyl...it would destroy the torque in the low range. maybe wire the cutout to an rpm switch so you have a bit of torque on the bottom, then it opens up top to make the best power possible...dual stage exhaust...interesting...

I'd do what crazy mechanic said. I've heard of this being done and it seems like the best way to go for exhaust in my opinion. You could set it to remain closed until 4-5k rpms and then have it open up on top end and you should see a pretty good gain with nitrous.

Would you damage your valves with the cutout right after the header?
