SVT head gasket

Hey guys, I'm doing the head gasket on my SVT and just realized now that I may have gotten the wrong set... Would the head gasket included in this kit be good for the SVT or do I need a different one? thanks.

Hitup a O'Reilly's autoparts or http://1st Call, I'd also get a set of head bolts too.

Well, see the thing is, I already ordered this kit and installed it with new head bolts and all and I just realized when I went to put the cam seals on that the kit may be incorrect. I wanted to know if i can get SVT cam seals and go on with it or if I need to completely remove the head gasket again...

If you installed the Zetec HG and not the SVT then you need to remove it and go with a SVT , your compression goes up and if you dont have a custom tune you will have spk knock , the SVT HG is thicker then the Zetec

would this be worth doing as a mod? how much compression does it add and would you be able to run pump gas? just curious, especially since I just bought your tune

I guess my main question is is the gasket from the set I got right for the SVT or not? I guess when I bought the kit I assumed it would work for an SVT since it did not say "exc SVT" but now I realize I was probably wrong..

no, it will not work as it is for a regular zetec. the fel-pro part number for the svt looks to be HS9005PT-7

and btw, never mind about the questions I asked earlier, I found this post from Tom in anther post " The SVT is already 10.2 compression , the slight gain the thinner gasket gives is not worth the few HP and added spk knock you will get , when all said and finished the timing that has to be removed vs the ompression gain is about a wash

Things that help a SVT is
Tune
HFC / ORP
T/B
