Which tune?

I'm getting a tune soon, I'm just curious which one is the best for the money. I dunno if they're all the same or what. And I need to get rid of that damned traction control.

You will find a ton of reviews on the various tunes here: SVT owners: Post reviews of your Tune!

Personally, I have Hypnotic's tune.

Tunes have pretty much the same gains its the hardware that is diffrent. I got Toms tune cause I wanted the Predator, not a black box with blinking lights.

It's a matter of how hardcore you are. Tom's tune comes with a really zoot tuner that can scan you sensors realtime and read "Check Engine Light" codes. However, it doesn't come with all the goodies you will need if you're going to get tunes via e-mail, which you will when you mod your car. Getting the wires & AC adaptor isn't hard, Tom specifies exactly what you will need and the parts are available at your local friendly Radio Shack.

Wayne's tune comes with a fairly non-descript little black box with non-descript LEDs. It is a complete set, you get everything you'll need to upload e-mailed tunes to your little black box. Wayne WILL blackmail you into sending him a picture of yourself for updates (he's got a wall of happy customers.)

Daeron's thread will tell you all about the tunes and what they will do for you.

In any case GET THE TUNE, it's the best bang for the buck you can get for your SVT and you WILL need a tuner if you decide to mod your car's hardware.

Just to point out the power adapter and the cable you need ran me a total of around $15 at radio shack. Here is a link to tom's site and the predator site.

Buy the one you want and don't automaticly go with the cheaper to save a few bucks. I could care less what people buy and do but when 90% of those that buy the cheaper one says "I don't need a coder reader" thats just a cheap excuse for not wanting to spend the extra money on the more advanced piece of hardware. The predator is a hell of alot more than "just a code reader". Check out the diablo sport link I provided and read all the features of it and the other one and deciede for your self.

Tom is masterful when it comes to tuning, he did my SVT when it was N/A and he's doing it now that its turbo'd. Not to mention the usefulness of the Predator itself.

There is something to be said about a tuner when people bring their cars from the west coast to have Tom work on it

Any tune will be good as they all unlock the potential of the car. You just have to ask yourself if you need/want to pay for the extra features of the Predator. I opted for the Predator and am a satisfied customer. Keep in mind customer service as well. Tom is an excellent tuner; not to knock on him or anything, but he does take a while to respond to issues....but he does respond.
