?
why do you want to do that for...

for starters....
you need engine...tranny if you want to go to manual (or even if you have a manual on your spi)...ecu...custom engine mounts...etc...
you are looking to do a 3 - 4k thing....
and then you will end with a car without mods with a "crappy" 130 hp (20 more than spi)

with 1-2k you can make your car as fast as a stock zetec....
and with 3 - 4 it will probably be faster....

If you have enough money to do an engine swap, use it to get a custom turbo, because there's no sense at all in spending all of that to be on par with a 16-17second zetec.

the only reason i was going to change the engine out was because i was talking to a focus rep at a car show and he was sporting the 2003 focus ZX3/ he said he was doing fine with the ztech and that the mods for his car were easier to find. My engine (2.0) P.O.S. feels too restricted, i did all the body work so i have extra cash for the engine, but if you guys think that its a bad idea. What other suggestions do you have for mods for my engine? (besides turbo)

you should just buy a used svt engine and throw it in there. That would be hot.

another bad idea...
you can add TB, INtake, exhaust and other stuff to make it good...
then you can go with a custome FI...
