Best performance mod for $500 or less?

Hello I've had my 02 SVT for about a month now and am wanting to start some performance mods, I am looking for some advice from people who have done mods to there ride and seen improvement, I want to start by spending about $500 so anyone with some suggestions on the best mod/mods to increase perfomance for around that price and where to get them let me know. Thanks in advance everyone.

Tune, K&N cone filter, and Short throw shifter. Toms tune = $500 , SS = $100 , Filter = $35. I know that is a little more than you were talking about but you would be amazed at the diffrence in the car with those three things.

Tune and rear engine mount. I'm not feeling any desire for a short shifter after putting the rear engine mount in. The tune really helps reduce quirky behavior as you get the car moving and cruise at highway speeds.
