If yours are anything like mine, when I ordered the XCal from Wayne:
1) Street - Performance oriented.
2) Highway - Gas mileage oriented.

That's what I was thinking myself... though wouldn't the mileage go up regardless of which tune is used? Think I'm gonna go with the street tune.

depends on how you drive it. if the tune leans out (compared to pig rich stock tune) the A/F ratio a bit and optimizes spark to make a complete burn, then your gas mileage will increase so long as you resist the tempation to show off your extra power to the whole world

Yes, your gas mileage will go up with both tunes. I managed 35.5 mpg on my first road trip with the street tune

The major difference between the two is when the runners switch to short. This also impacts gas mileage (just ask Russ the Leadfoot).

I do a lot of highway driving, so prefer the short runner to kick in a bit later. I'll get all that sorted out once the last tweaks are done on my tune. Currently I'm running a street, and with 2 tune switches in the middle, I just logged 33mpg.

The nice thing is you can always switch to the other and see which suits your driving style the best

I want the power ALL the time. Don't get me wrong, it's nice getting better MPG's, but I got a tune for the power! The better MPG's is a side effect!

i'm gonna guess that the "open at 5000" is your street tune, and the "open at 5300" is your highway tune.............i could be wrong, b/c i am just guessing................
