Check the video section to hear clips of an SVTF with the Borla. It sounds deep, very aggressive, but not rice. Chepaest I have seen is around $399. Here's a link:

I just installed the Borla on my SVT about two weeks back and I love it. Down low on the rpm range you have a louder low pitch tone and as you progress past 4000 rpms it gets higher. The good thing is that at highway speeds, in it not terribly loud like most other intakes on the street. I liked the stock cat-back to begin with but it was too raspy down low and the borla hit the spot for me. I live in San Antonio, TX if you're near and want to check it out. Don't worry, it is perfectly smart to do tons of research on any mod before you do it. I did my exhaust research for almost a year since I bought the car. Now I'm researching an intake and tune. Best of luck to you in your decision.
