65mm t/b

Installed it today and didn't feel like opening up the intake manifold to 65 mm just yet. Has anyone done that? Im just wondering if it makes a larger difference. I like the tb, intake really sounds nice now.

I didn't want to mess with the intake manifold, I don't think it would make THAT much of a difference over just putting the TB in.

thats what i thought but there still is that lip from the intake manifold that would cause the air to "tumble" and somewhat disrupt the airflow, right?

as long as it didn't keep you from reinstalling the factor tb why wouldn't you work on the manafold ? to make it the same size as the throttle body. You want increased airflo or you wouldn't lay down the big money for a throttlebody

I cleaned up my manifold with my dremel. There was a 1 mm lip around most of the opening, so overall, the diameter was down by ~2 mm in some spots. It was quick to do, but unless you are FI or pushing some serious power, you probably won't notice a difference. But, if you have the time, go for it. It won't hurt

Okay so to the dremel i go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

++++EDIT++++
Anyone with the tb and steeda short ram notice a cool sounding "chirp" sound that almost sounds like a blowoff valve when shifting around 3000 or 4000 rpm? I hear it and i think its neato, or is it mean something is wrong?

Is this with the stock TB or FC? You will also notice a loud 'whooshing' sound when you tip the throttle in. IMO, that sounds pretty cool

with the FC, I agree it sounds cool when you get on the throttle hard!
