Cold Air Intake = CEL

well i installed my cold air intake today and after i connected the battery and everything was done very carefully i was doing my best not to damage the MAF sensor or anything on the car. When i first started it the car did its usual remembering the ECU thing. I took it out for a spin and it worked great. I came back home and shut it off. Went to start it again to pick up my bro and the CEL came on. I don't know wat it could be. one of my friends has a code reader but i don't know where that goes? Does any one know where it hooks up at? Also why would the CEL come on its just a simple bolt-on??

Doesn't the code reader hook up to the OBDII port?

Perhaps you left one of the clamps a little loose and you have an air leak or something?

^^^^ your right, it does hook up to the OBDII port, and it's right below the steering wheel to the left, just push down the little flap and stick the plug in and push some buttons on the reader and voila, you got your CEL code
