tune disable o2 sensor?

I have heard of some people doing this every once in awhile and I was wondering if you're not going to have on orp is there a reason to disable the rear o2 sensor? Also what is a good idle to set a tune for?

Yes there is a reason to disable the second oxygen sensor. I know of a person who has modified "gutted" the catylitic converter in a way that would read as a malfunction to the computer. I installed a out of the box tune with the diablo predator and it disabled the second oxygen sensor "downstream of cat" and done away with the need for a MIL Eliminator.

My iddle is set for around 900and I would not recomend lower although it would probably sound good and I wouldn't go over 1200 but that's just me

They disable them because it saves them a ton of phone calls. Most who get the tune end up getting some sort of modified exhaust sooner or later and it allows for near plug and play with the tune.

When I installed the Predator tune from Tom last Aug/Sept we weren't sure if it was disabled completely or partially. So I unplugged it to check and Yep is was disabled completely, since I had the ORP and was in the middle of going FI I pulled out the 2nd O2 and put an FJO wideband in it's place. It was nice to NOT have to put anothe bung in, just use the one that was already there

does disabling it affect the running at all? how about state inspections where they plug the car into the machine via obd2?
