While it's true that traction control is part of the cold weather package, the cold weather package is also part of the European package. SO ... a base SVT does not have traction control. The SVT with Cold weather package does and so does the European package.

To disable the traction control just push the "disable traction control" button.

This will not disable the traction control fully. You must pull the fuse in order to fully disable the traction control. F12 in the main and F46 in the car.

Sorry Infra3sv, I misunderstood. I was under the impression that the button by-pass does not do enough to even bother with push button off TC. I've never notice that much of a difference. My mistake.

Its all good. I notice a huge difference. I don't notice a difference when I'm launching but I rarely get on it from a dead stop. I notice a huge difference when I'm taking corners. If the t/c is on the tires don't squeal. If the t/c is off the tires squeal like no other.

I've only drove with the TC off on the track, push button wise. I did not notice a difference, although this is the only time I've tried it. I assume that when you were talking about taking corners, do you mean in Auto X or in general driving? Sorry, you now have me curious.

It seems to make a big difference when cornering fast, in the slow stuff like a hairpin or city block, I don't notice it at all. With the TC on, the car seems to ratchet mid-corner and feels really un-natural. It felt like there were patches of ice and the car hooked up then slid about 10 times mid corner. Weird stuff mang, especially at 70mph...

With TC off, the car pushes like normal and feels good.
