Serpentine belt the same for SVT & Zetec?

If I get a serpentine belt for the zetec will it be the same length/width as an svt one? Reason I ask is because nobody has an svt one locally but they do have the standard zetec one. From the routing diagrams it looks like it's the same.. thanks

all the ones i've seen online are listed as Zetec/SVT so I'd say they are.

NEGATIVE, well not completely negative but partially; certainly enough to mention and take notice of.

The 2002 & 2003 SVT Focus uses the same size serpentine belt as your everyday regular Zetec Focus, however the 2004 SVT has a slightly larger alternator pulley and therefore has a slightly larger belt size (3/8" larger belt size I believe)

On a side note and knowing this small tidbit, do you know how DAMN DIFFICULT it is to find the right size serp belt for my '04 SVT that has had the A/C removed. I can't just use a zetec minus a/c belt because my alternator pulley is slightly larger than the other years and Ford never spec'd a SVT without A/C so specs don't exist for what belt I actually need... It's fun replacing serp belts and explaining this to idiot sales people at the major parts stores.

I went into an Autozoo type store about 5 years ago. I needed a micrometer and asked the manager, not a kid who just started. He actually asked "What does it go on?" I said "It's a tool" He said "Yeah, but I need to know what it goes on so I can look it up in the system." I said "It goes on whatever I put it on but it will mostly go on the shelf because I won't use it every day." NO B.S. He said "So it's a temporary use thing, you don't permanently install it?"

That's why I only go when I know exactly what I need. Holy crap lol

Weird, I pulled my serp belt and it had the same part number from Ford as my replacement belt.. which was a standard zetec belt. I have an 04 as well.

I am deleting the AC on my 04 SVTf, do you remember the belt part number ?

I am debating between the 77.5 inch and 78 inch belts

I would really appreciate any help :) Thanks

I'd actually like to know this as well. I'm deleting the AC on my 04 SVT. I think the 77.5 is for the zetec without AC. So I guess I'll try the 78 out first.

I can confirm that 78 inch works

Dayco 5060780 works

77.5 might also work - Dayco 5060775
