Leaky Faucet....I mean Focus

Well I thought I had the oil leak problem solved when I got the leaking valve cover gasket replaced. The valve cover gasket isnt a problem anymore, now its something else. My car has smelled of burning oil for quite a while now, and not one dealership seems to a) believe me or b) find anything wrong. So imagine my surprise when, taking a sharp turn, my low oil light comes on, followed by the check engine light. Added 3 qts. of oil (I know, I know, I should have been checking it all along....). Anyway, in trying to find the source of the leak for myself, I come across this: two small holes on the driver's side heads (or valve cover, not too sure, at any rate, the top end), right where the wires meet the motor. Oil is very obviously leaking out of one of them. Does anyone know what they are? Would they have anything to do with an oil leak, or is the oil just settling there? Should there be some sort of plug?

P.S.
Pictures will be on the way. The ones I have are too big for the max allowed size. If anyone could host them for me that would work too.
The holes arent visible without removing the plastic-cover piece that hides the ignition pack and wires.

yikes....that doesnt sound good at all, i had the same problem on my old VR6 passat, but it had 160K miles and VR6's are notorious for oil leaks. But on a newer car like that you shouldnt be having this problem. To find the leaks on my passat, they ran some kind of liquid in my oil, started the engine and used a flourescent light to see where it was leaking from. You may want something similar done.

Yea, tell me about it. I think I got the sourest lemon Focus there is...
When I had the valve cover gasket replaced they said that they did the dye test. Maybe any oil they saw the assumed was from the valve cover gasket??
I have an appointment with the dealership (shudder) tomorrow for them to look at it. Hopefully its a quick fix (fingers crossed)

Well I just found the main source of the problem. The stupid drain plug isnt a) on tight or b) cross-threaded. But I still wonder what those holes are, and why there is oil leaking out of one...
Regardless, that is the LAST time a shop does my oil change. I'll do it myself from now on (just been to lazy up until they started trashing my car). Time to invest in some ramps...

That sounds like your PCV valve connection. Oil will come out of there, there should be a tube running to your air box from it for crankcase ventilation (pressure equalization). If you are running some type of CAI kit, there should be a tube running to the CAI setup somewhere or it should have a breather element on it to vent to the atmosphere. If your drainplug was not on correctly, that is likely the source of your problem. Pics will help though...
