SCT XCalibrator Q?

Just a quick question, just received an updated tune from Wayne (Hypnotic) via e-mail, and I have saved it to my desktop. I have the flasher plugged in to the wall, and it is also plugged in to the back of my computer. This seems like kind of a stupid question, but how do I get it from my computer in to the flasher? Thanks for any help in advance!

if you have MSN messenger i can send you the extreme tune software, i can't seem to find the link to download the software off the SCT site, so just give me a pm with your MSN messenger ID and i'll upload it to you when i see you online.

Ok, I got the software and I am now not sure how to get it from the comp to the XCal. the XCal already has the factory program in it and one other program, since one is loaded in the car. So, I have room for it in P3, how do I get it to there? The help topics didn't download with the rest of the program...

Dumb question, but I have the SCT Xcal and where would you plug this thing into a wall? The only input is where you put the OBDII cable!

When I received mine from Wayne, it came with 2 cables, one goes from the Xcal to your OBDII port, and the other has an AC adapter to Xcal/Xcal to com port cable. IDK if everybody received those with thei Xcals though.

you need a cable that has an AC adapter built into the 15pin side. you can buy them from wayne, or if you can get the pinouts, make one yourself...

to load a tune from the computer to the SCT...

1. open the ExtremeTune program.
2. at the main screen, click on the 3 dots to the right of bank 1
3. surf your hard drive and find the program (*.xtr) you want to load, and select it.
4. repeat steps 2 and 3 for bank 2
5. repeat steps 2 and 3 for bank 3
6. Verify that ONLY bank 3 has a checkmark in the box to the far left of your screen.
7. click the "Program XCal" button. this will open a new window.
8. click "program" and it should go. it will tell you when it is done.

I hope this helps...its not the best interface, but it will do. any more questions or problems, feel free to ask...

Edit: make sure you are hooked up to COM 1 or be sure to change this in this main screen to whichever you are hooked up to...
