Problem confusing me

When driving over 35mph i can hear a ridiculous amount of tire noise that sounds like my tires are rubbing and it gets worse little by little as i go faster from there, i used to hear a similar noise when i would take corners too fast because the aem shield would cause the tire to rub the wheel well on the drivers side, and now its that same noise but much worse and all the time and when i take corners too quickly i can still hear the tire rubbing the wheel well i.e the sound changes and then upon straightening goes back to the normal deafening roar

its not the engine or exhaust or anything else related because engine rpms have nothing to do with it, i looked inside all the wheel wells and there isnt any noticeable sign of rubbing and ive put some miles on since this started so any ideas whats going on?

suspension related?

Have you checked your wheel bearings?
Jack the car up, put it on jackstands.
Grab the top and the bottom of the tire, push in at the top/pull out at the bottom, and vice versa.
Also try the same procedure at the 9:00 and 3:00 positions.

are u using your factory wheels?? Currently I run 17x7 with a 42mm offset and I have some rubbing issues. It actally sounds like what yours used to sound like (at least the way you describe it) Are you sure the original sound was definately caused by the aem shield?

yes im running stock wheels and yes the original sound was caused by the shield, i spent a fair amount of time testing to make sure that was the culprit, it just prevented the rubber on the inside of the wheel well from being able to move at all

Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm having the exact same problem on my focus after installing an SVT suspension.
