Lotsa debate on that issue. Most posts I have read get pretty heated between the "will damage your engine" crowd and the "there is no proof of damage" crowd.

They are, but this has nothing to do with the harmonics that the balancer deals with.

Maybe we can actually keep this topic to the facts and not start another "I don't know what I'm talking about, but here is my opinion" thread.
UDP's don't hurt 4-bangers unless you are turning VERY high RPM's.
