Thumbs up OK..pic and story of my exuast experiments

First got the car, loved it...but needed to be louder. Took to local exuast shop and had the muffler before the rear suspension removed. IMO, if you want loud and cheap...this is the way to go. It will be very loud at low rpm and shake almost everything in your car. Your seats will vibrate at times and everyone can hear you. From the borla clips i've heard..i think it is just a good bit louder than that. So, after a few months (and maybe a few complaints) , i put back that muffler and removed the resonator with stock tip in the very back. This sound is barely louder than stock (i can hardley remember), but definately noticeable at low rpm. I like it much better than before and I think alot of us svtf owners would like it too. Therefore, my personal conclusion: Definately at least try this cheap exuast modification before spending alot more money on a new exuast. The svtf is exuast is good, as we all know. Here is a pic with new tip (i tried to keep it stock looking, but no stainless steel or bigger tips were available believe it or not) Please any links on a good tip for the svtf would help. I dont want a huge one, just slanted and about 1 inch larger than stock and stainless steel.

After pulling the "lunchbox" did you notice any more pull at all??? I seriously doubt you did but just thought I'd ask.

I beg to differ, the Apexi N1 knock offs dont sound nearly as good as the real exhaust. My friends both have integras and one has the real N1 and the other has the knock off and you can definatly tell the difference, anyway if it comes down to it the SVT doesnt need another muff its really just an issue of sound.

As far as my pull?? Doubt it, but it feeels like it. It really is a nice tone. Loud enough to sound like you've done a big-time upgrade the the exhuast, but quiet enough to high-rev everywhere you go. I also removed my airbox resonator (mini-snorkle). It sounds really good with the two together. Highly recommend both for sound

What's the interior resonance like?
Do you have any "drone" issues at certain rpms?

BTW, you could probably order a nice exhaust tip from Summit Racing.
