sup, and help

Whats up guys,

Nice forum, but anyway. My freind has an svt focus and 560 dollars. I'm trying to convince him that he should go for a nitous kit over a body kit. I know it's his car and he should spend his money how he pleases. But, I see so many cars with kits that only last a month because they hit an animal, go to far in a parking space or just go down to steep of an incline. Anyway, his car is bone stock. So the question is what mods would you guys go for? (I really don't know shit about focus's so thats why im asking the pro's). And do yall agree nitous is a hell of a mod for the cash?

Thanks, Monty

Nitrous? Eh.... If that's what floats your boat. It's much better than a body kit, but still... For 560 bucks, I'd spend that money on a short throw shifter and a tune.

A tune???? his car is still stock. A tune would be a waste of money. But, yeah on the short throw that thing is huge.

A Tune would not be a waste of money, SCT or Diablo, Nitrous would be a waste
of money IMO.

WHAT?! R U guys serouis. A tune for a stock car? Like a chip? That's like 300 bucks for 10 ponies. What would a chip do??? Advance the timing???? Tunes are for cars that are at that are at the end of the road(as for as modding is concerned). Not cars at the begining

Do you konw the numbers that a catback would give? Like I guess im asking how restrictive is the stock exhaust on these cars? Is it a big problem???

with the svt an exhaust will show very little gains. i would say tune will increase the low end, if you are looking to add fun and no power get a STS and a VF rear engine mount. the STS and VF would be 200 bucks and are good mods to have. if he doesnt want a tune a UDP and intake would be good as well

an after market exhaust on a svt is more for sound then power. the exhaust mod that will add high end power and be real loud is an ORP

So you guys are pretty much saying start with your basic bolt ons then work up. I just wanted him to go balls to the wall. With something he would feel with out a doubt. (Plus the coolness factor).
