Need some speedy advice

All, I bought a SCT programmer, hooked it up with fuses 46 and 61 out, but accidently set the ignition to "run" instead of "on". The programmer did not download the factory tune to the programmer. Instead, it just blinked an error code of 18 which has something to do about unlocking the program. Does anyone know how to get around this or am I sending this back to Wayne? Thanks.

Scott

PS. I would have asked Wayne, but he's still tough to get ahold of. :)

The car was not in the On position. Disconnected the battery, and tried it again. Tune took that time.

I bought the SCT and I spent hours trying to install the custom tunes and they will not take, no matter what combo of fuse pulling or anything. It will take the stock tune and the factory tune Wayne emailed me but it will not take any of the custom tunes. This has been VERY frustrating. Wayne is coming to Houston in a couple of weeks and he told me he would work on my car personally. I hate having to wait but I don't have much a choice I guess. Wayne tells me this is the first time this has happened, I guess my car is a freak or something LOL

The funny thing was that Wayne told me to put the fuses back in and try it and I have T/C. So that was kind of interesting. The whole bit was trying to figure out what position to put the ignition into. All the idiot lights (and radio, and heater, etc) need to come on. I just turned off the heater motor and killed the interior lights so all that was on was the dash lights. It was fairly quick to upload the new tune, so that wasn't too bad.
All the low end on the SVT has been cleaned up significantly. It still likes to surge some when cruising when its cold. It didn't seem noticable last night when I was driving it for the first time afterward when it was warm. My guess is, if you could make my SVT run like my wife's ZX5, it would prolly not be a sports car. Just going to have some give and take on the tune no matter what. I'm going to sit on it for a couple of days before passing final judgement on it.
BTW, if Wayne emails you a new tune, how do you get it onto the flasher? Do you have to open up the box or plug the serial port into a serial port on your pc and have a program to upload the new tune? Just curious.

You will need to go to the SCT web site and dowload the program. I can email it to you if you give me your email address.

The software is called Extreme Tune.
