Going through boost withdraws...

Well, the SVTF has been gone for over a month now trying to get a clutch problem sorted out. She started out at Ford where I was having, what I thought to be, a simple clutch/fw replacement. I had been beating on my Spec Stage 3 for a good while now, and it finally gave out on me. So, I purchased a new Fidanza FW along with a CM stage V (focus is no longer daily driver, so I figured what the hell Id try a stage V).

Well, they installed the new assy twice, and both times the t.o.b. broke right upon start up. So, I had it towed to a "specialist", they figured the problem was that Ford didnt know what they where doing, so they reinstalled everything with the same results. On top of that every time either shop tried to pull the new assy out to reinstall, the assy gets "stuck" on the input shaft, and they have to slowly pry it off over a couple of days. So, this past Monday I shipped out the clutch/fw assy along with one of the busted t.o.b. to Lonnie over at CM (great guy btw!), to see if he can tell me what the problem may be. It arrived there today, and hopefully I will hear from him tomorrow or Monday on what the problem is. In the mean time I got a new Civic Si (2005) for my daily driver. And let me tell you this thing feels like an absolute slug compared to the ole foci. Its a real fun car to drive around town, but I sure do miss the whine coming out of the roots. Never thought Id spend so much time and money on trying to get a clutch/fw installed, but I guess those are the breaks when dealing with a highly modified car. Maybe next time Ill listen to Tom and just do a CM stage iv with their fw. Anyway, just felt like I needed to whine since I wont be hearing any whining any time soon....

I had plans to supercharge my last car (1992 Nissan Maxima) but it came down with some electrical problem that I havent been able to fix.

I still have the supercharger, and will consider building a kit for the focus if things go well.

My best friend has a 87 Grand National and it has a lot of turbo lag but when that thing spools up you best be holding on to something LOL. It's actually kinda strange feeling, he punches it from a dead stop and there isn't much acceleration but when it get to about 30 MPH the turbo spools and it's like a freaking ROCKET!!! ..... i know, off topic, sorry

Great news! CM found the problem and are shipping me a new assy via two day UPS and I will have the new parts by the end of the work week! Looks like Ill have the svt back mid next week or so. Just glad the problem is figured, cause no one could tell me anything for the longest time!
