^^^ you might want to consider getting a custom tune from either Tom or Wayne rather than get a generic off-the-shelf tune, you will get better gains and like it much better I believe. Just my 2 shillings

Totally agree with jaykirs the tune from tom will cost more than a plain vanilla diablo tune but Tom's tune is one of the best there is. The same is true for Wayne and his tune. I'm in a toss up over which one to get, Tom's got a better programmer and is a total focus nut, he's got lots of SERIOUS hardware for making your SVT into a rocket and even has his own dyno. Tom is very very serious and has a wicked sweet tune ($515)

Wayne is less "serious" , he doesn't sell his own magic go fast kits but he's got a VERY VERY popular tune that will absolutely improve your car. It appears that the tuner he uses (the SCT model) is pretty fragile, lots of people have received tuners that were DOA. Nevertheless, Wayne is a very eager business man and will bend over backwards to make sure you're happy and that you're satisfied. I've never read anything negative about Wayne. ($345)

Tom sometimes seems to have a few sour grapes with respect to the less expensive tuners because he really really knows what he's doing. I can't say for sure, a tune seems like it should be a pretty easy thing but actually it is the software controlling a dozen (?) different things as your engine operates. You don't want to blow up your car because of a cheesy tune. I'm sure it's frustrating for Tom to watch people buy a generic tune for their car, have a bad experience and chalk it up to tunes, in general, sucking.

Wayne I know less about, I don't know if he has a dyno or what, I DO know he has an absolutely superb tune that all his customers are raving about. Wayne is also a gentleman and hasn't, to my knowledge, every said anything disparaging about his competition. He even e-mailed HIS tune to a person on this forum who was disappointed with a tune they bought from someone else; Wayne's take on it: "If you like it, pay me."

I still don't know which tune I'll buy, I've read more (volume) happy stories about Wayne's tune but all the reviews of Tom's tune are positive too. Tom's tuner device is cooler than Wayne's, but if you're not into the nitty gritty details of every aspect of your engine and only want to be able to install a better tune than stock Wayne's is fine.

I've even considered buying both tunes (both guys have an unconditional return policy) and keeping the one I like the best but asking the missus to let me spend $860 on redundant car stuff might be a little difficult.

Ultimately this forum is an excellent resource to help you decide what you will buy.

One word about Tom's - the predator lets you datalog, clear and read CEL codes, etc.
It's a VERY nice piece of equipment and one of the things that swayed me.
