Spark Plug problems.

I wrecked the front end of my svt earlier in the winter. Its been the body shop but i just got it back two weeks ago. i ran my OBDII scanner to see if the techs did a half ass job like not reading engine codes and not fixing the problem so i pulled a multipule cylinder misfire; Upstreem sensor and down streem sensor code. I took it back to get the body shop to replace the Cat. and both sensors but I noticed the spark plugs arn't The OE Douple Platinum Or NGK laser-platinum plugs the specs say but instead its a motorcrap platinum plug(NOT OE). Are Our vehicles that picky where a single-platinum plug will make it misfire miltiple cylinders? I ordered The $9 NGk's today. I also have installed the Deamon Coil with Live wires.

^^^ Man, I just can't see spending $50 for 4 plugs that will not give you a performance gain, but that's just me.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but HP gains have been achieved by switching to these plugs --- you can look up the links, they are out there ... also, many believe that iridium based plugs are more durable and don't need to be changed out as frequently.
But like anything else, do your homework.

I would go with the Bosch platnium series, I had those in a previous car of mine and they worked very nicely. But I have also been looking into getting the Denso Irridiums for the SVT.

check the gap. I noticed that my plugs werent doing well after installing the SD and live wires. I am going to decrease the gap on my plugs to .060. Hopefully that will help

I'm with ^^^ Check your gap and also the heat range should be consisten with the OEM plug. As long as those two things are consistent, the plug type doesn't matter. If they put a hotter or colder plug in there, it can cause drivability issues like that.

By the way, if you just want to get it running for cheap you don't have to have platinum in there at all. You could go with autolite copper plugs from any auto parts store and just change them out after 20k or so. I actually got better performance in my Cobras with the copper plugs than the OEM platinums.

copper is a better conductor than iridium or platinum, but not as durable. I say if you want performance, go with copper, but thats just my $.02
