^^^Good reading in that link^^^
Don't forget to check out the "stickie"...>>>The Even Newer Clutch TSB
It also wouldn't hurt to print out the above linked TSB, and bring it to the Dealer with you.

I'm having mine worked on as we speak. I initally took it in 2 weeks ago complaining about the rattling noise while in neutral. The service rep. immediately said that there was TSB on it and that it would take a week for the parts to come in. The service department called me when the parts came in earlier this week to schedule an appointment for the repairs. It should take two days tops t get it done. I will post an update when I get the car back.

question fellas...

do you think this clutch problem would be covered under the "power train warranty"
or should I consider purchasing the ford extended warranty?

(my 36K bumper to bumper is going to run out in less than a year)

thanks for the input

I have had this problem on my 2003 svt three months after I took delivery. I brought it in and I was told that the technicians can't hear the damn noise. My first vehicle was a manual transmission Mazda b2200 and that after ten years of use did not even make any rattling sounds from the clutch. I just finally decided to dump my dealership and move to another one. Taking my svt in this week. We'll see...

Well, back from the dealer. I was told it was normal transmission 'harmonics.' I have a problem with this because I could induce it. I guess I'll have to try again.
Question: Does it sound kind of like rattling from a diesel engine?

Got the car back yesterday after five days in the shop. Apparently, the SVT mechanic was at school which delayed the repairs. No big deal because no more rattle and a much better clutch feel. They ever remembered to wash the car this time.
