Post DiabloSport tuner review

Finally got the Diablo Sport tuner for my SVTF and decided to give it a test. Last night I put it on and listened to the car, sounds normal at low RPM but as you get to 4-7 it sounds a hole lot better and a hole lot louder (in a good way). Through 1st gear the bog is totally gone, one thing you must love and through 2nd 3rd and 4th it pulls all the way, never got to high RPM in 5 or 6th.

Then I asked my boy with a Jetta 1.8T 2003 with an intake to go for a few runs with me. So we head off to a country road. Now its still winter so its ****en cold out -15 degrees Cel. or so, we also have the same rubber on.

All in all I have raced him before and he usually beats me by a car length or so maybe a little more but with the chip due to the whole statement of 10-15 fwhp I was hoping to take him.

So we decide to do a stop and go drag, so we line up and a friend in his car yells go, well I dropped it at 3000 my tires just started to spin, so I had to let off the gas a bit, but this time I ended up being about my window at his front tire, so I won that one.

But then we did a role from 20km/h and in my car thatís about 2000 rpm we go and he pulls way harder getting a lead on me my front bumper at his rear bumper and he kept it the whole way. So we did another role from about 40km/h 3000rpm we took off and it was even closer this time my front bumper at his rear tire or so.

Over all I still lost but I noticed I have gained a lot on him, Iím right beside him the whole way so without putting the price of the Predator into perspective the overall gains for a 10 min job were amazing , I love it. My car runs better then it ever has.

I also have STS but overall Iím hoping once I put my AEM CAI, AEM alternator pulley and Ford Racing Crank pulley in ill be able to take him.

Overall highly recommend the tune, and I assume with the CAI it will increase performance a lot more then normal just because the way the car runs now.

I wouldn't waste my time or money on the AEM Alternator UDP if I were you. I would just go with the Ford Racing or Esslinger (same part) crank UDP, I think you'll be better off :-)

Is this the stock "out of the box" (no pun intended) tune that comes with the Diablo hardware? Or was this Tom's tune?
