Exclamation Backfire With New Exhaust

I just got my MBRP exhaust put on my SVT. I would recommened it to anyone with an SVT. Anyway, there is more backfire with the exhaust one. I don't know whether to take it in to the ford dealer and have them look at it, since it's still under warrenty, or take it to a garage and have them fix my Air/Fuel ratio. If anyone has been through this or know what the problem is please help me. THANKS

I'm not insulting your intelligence, but are you sure its backfire? The stock exhaust does that thing where you rev it and it pops a couple of times. Which i don't know how to get rid of. My fellow employee has an 89 oldsmobile with a broken tailpipe, that IS BACKFIRE. IT sounds like a gunshot (lower pitch) everytime she revs it. Either way, i'm sorry i can't offer you a solution.

I was thinking about buying new spark plugs and putting them on and see if that makes a difference or not. And i do know what you mean about the sounds. They don't sound like that. The sound is much better i think.

My freind told me that it is the air fuel ratio. From stock to aftermarket exhaust the flow is different, and that is why it makes that noise. So i am going to call a few places tomorrow and see what they can do. I'll let you know if i come up with any solution. Thanks
