Placed my order for Wayne's SCT!!

now I'm too excited and I know I won't be able to sleep tonight!! It gets here saturday morning, and I have to hand it to Wayne, he was really patient and helpful with me while I had all kinds of technical difficulties setting up a paypal account in order to get him his money.

Saturday is going to be a second christmas!

ooo while anyone is reading, any pointers on the install? I've never worked on a motor newer than an 85 and most of my experience is on a 76 AMC 5 liter

edit: let me clarify . . .

Where is this infamous OBEII port that I just plug into and watch the magic happen?

Should I have the engine warmed up before I tune it so the first start with the new tune is on a warm engine?

Should I make note to not have it warm?

Any typical problems during a flash with simple fixes?

Easy to do....the OBD2 port is under the fuse box cover (drivers under dash), just flip the door down. Plug the Xcalibrator in....hit select for P1 (wayne is P1 I'd guess) then hold PROGRAM...when the lights start to flash, turn the key on. Let it do its thing. The odometer will go blank (just dash marks - - -). when the lights on the Xcal stop blinking and the odometer says your mileage, its done. Unplug the Xcal, and start the car and enjoy.

Note: I *heard* somewhere that you should turn off any accessories (radio, lights, heat, etc.) while you flash. You dont want any voltage draw. Dunno if its true, but seems like a safe rule. Also, keep the doors shut. Also, if you have Traction Ctrl - pull fuse #46!

As Amazon said, its very simple. I include COMPLETE step by step directions.
No you dont have to have the engine warm, just the battery in good charge, all accessories off, and no draw on the battery at all.
Its completley plug and play.

I have been deciding between the diablo and sct for a while, but after reading about Wayne's service (in the post a review of your tune), my decision has been made. Hypnotic, you'll be hearing from me very soon.
