Thumbs down My Horn

I am wondoring if any one alls has this problem, I have taken my car to the dealer ship 4 times so they could repair my horn because it just dies out. it sound like an battery alarm clock wen the juice runs out. And every time they fix it, it works fine untill the day that it rains then it dies. Any one have the same problem or is it just me.

lol...i haven't had a problem, but i've heard of others having similar problems. The horn is in a position where it easy gets water up in it which either muffles the sound, or shorts the horn out. Usually folks say once it dries out it's fine.

that being said, I haven't had a problem with my horn since i got the car in May and I've driven in the rain A LOT

if it bothers you that bad, you might want to consider an aftermarket horn, or relocating your horn, or fabricating a shield for it...I haven't looked at it so you'd have to jack the car up and see what you could do with it.

I believe there is a tsb for this. I had mine replaced and relocated under warranty just recently due to the same problem. The new relocated horn has been working fine so far in the snow/slush/rain we've been getting the last few weeks.

i have had mine replaced once already and being that it doesn't seem to stop raining in cali the horn is almost out again. We will see if it dries out and fixes itself...otherwise to the dealer i go for the TSB on the horn, where they relocate it.

they changed my horn 3 times in 2 weeks. the last time they changed it the guy told me they have this problem alot but what they did was place the 2 horns on the car backwards facing towards the rear bumper which eliminates water and other shit from gettin in it so try that and im sure it will work. mine has been good for the last few weeks so im happy

Had mine replaced in September but I don't know if they relocated it. Haven't had any problems since but we'll see with the spring rains.

i have also had this problem, but they only replaced this once and the problem is fixed. i don't know what they did to it, but i'm sure they followed the TSB and that fixed the problem for me.

here is the TSB for the horn failure
