cat delete and power steering

well guys Ive had my 02 SVTF for about a month now. Love the car and it runs pretty good. My CEL has been on and is from the second 02 sensor so Im doing the cheep fix and Im just going to delete the 02 sensor with capacitor and resistor spliced into the wiring. I figured while i was in there i might was well gut the cat. because Im not spending the money for a ORP. I also just fixed my shifter due to it not going into reverse and just adjusted the cable. But the power steering pump is leaking. Im not positive exactly where due to the fact that fluid is pretty much all over it. The reservoir goes dry after a couple weeks of daily driving so i figured id not waste money on bottles of power steering fluid and just rebuild the pump myself with new seals. What are your guys thoughts?

gutting the cat is illegal and not recommended
if you get a tail pipe emission test it will fail

Power steering leak I would try a bottle of Lucas power steering fix
and see if it works

No I'm not going to hope for "fix a flat" to work. I have a car lift and might as well fix it right. And as far as cat delete I know it's illegal. And not recommended is just an opinion. Unless someone has facts about why I shouldn't. None of my vehicles have cats. I just didn't know if gutting the cat was specifically bad for this vehicle.

Used SVT cats are at a premium. I'd sell the cat and buy an ORP, you'll still come out +$.

But thats me.

First: fix the miss fire (plugs, coil, wires, vac leak; check them all). If that cylinder hasn't been burning completely, it may have killed the cat by dumping raw fuel for too long.

Once thats fixed, see if the cat comes back in line (it may not).

From there you can get a high flow cat or an off road race pipe (cat delete). Best to get a tune with those.
