does nobody sell this bearing!?!?

long story short, transmission had problems. Took it apart, found problem. Turns out to be a bearing. It is a roller "torrington 308-537zb2". I have searched high and low for this part and nobody has it. The only place i found is some guy in Italy. Bearing belongs to the input shaft inside transmission. I was just wondering if anyone has had to look for one of these or if they know someone i can call. I plan on trying to buy the one in Italy if worse comes to worse but i much rather find one stateside. Any help is hereby really really appreciated thanks for the help guys.

i've called local transmission places. nothing.
Went to ford and mini dealer (since we share transmission with mini cooper s). nothing.
Went to places that specialize in bearings. nothing.
Called bearing shops in Argentina(my home country). Nothing.
Called CFM. Nothing.
Autozone, napa, ext. nothing.

I really dont want to buy a whole new transmission for this..... sniff sniff. But if you could let me know about those guys that would be awesome :)

its crazy that it is that rare and hard to find! but i will talk to purchasing in the morning. do you have a date that you need it by, as in you're car-less currently and need it now, or would they have a minute to research finding it? alot of times when engineering decides what bearings to use they reference one that was used decades ago and is no longer made by the original manufacturer. purchasing can find one to the same specs rather quickly, like a week or so.

Hey thanks for all the help man :D

thanks for the link. Too bad they dont sell just the one. :'( I dont really want to buy all of them when i only need the one you know. But if that ends up being my only option then so be it.

On the time thing, i am car less. Because my plates expired last month and i just got the SVT so i did not renew my plates, i am currently barrowing a car. So the sooner the better, but if it requires time then it is what it is.

On the plus side I found another link. This one is at least in the American continent haha it's in Venezuela. http://www.rodamientosmartin.com/tc/...acturers_id=21
I will be calling them tomorrow morning.

so i talked to purchasing. they are cross-referencing some stuff. i guess the original getrag company has changed hands a couple times. he has some people who pretty high up in timken's food chain and they are talking to new company koga or koya (sorry don't remember their exact name) which matched the stuff i was reading about the svt's transmission woes on the other forum. he said worse case scenario he would need some measurements of the bad stock bearing. don't know if you're any good with calipers and micrometers, but that might be the only way he can find a suitable replacement. i was going to steal my department's parts book but they had it in a budget meeting. the company is called McMaster-Carr. if there is any locations near you, they pretty much can get anything literally:) but i will snag it tomorrow before i leave.

Hey man your awesome thanks for all the effort on helping me out with this +1. I actually found a guy that said he could get one for me! He is about a 45 min drive but it's way worth it on my opinion. He told me it was around $50. Dang i guess hard to find = expensive. So im gonna see if i can get it tomorrow and see if indeed it is the correct one. I'll let you guys know, just in case he is bluffing and it's not the same one.... Again thanks a lot for the help man I was starting to think i would never find one.
