I wanted to get rid of my zx3 for the new ST when it ran into a premature clutch failure. But look at it this way, the new ST is alot heavier ALOT curb weight alone roughly 1k for 6 month of payments you can put toward your SVT and shit over any ST out there and have a clean SVT. Wanting a ZX5 it sounds like you need a family car I'm assuming. If that the case make your wife buy a 4-5 door that what I did.< even though I pay for it, she wanted a Flex -.->

But then I think:
-The SVT is paid for... and all the little mods are done (just need to install them)
-The new ST would set me back about 500-600 a month for x-number of years
-The SVT is paid for
-The SVT is paid for

Thanks for all the input I have a spare engine in the garage with a trans still attached. I think I am just going to give the car I have some love and clean it up best I can. Maybe look for a supercharger if anyone knows of one for sale. do the mods that i have been wanting to do and call it a day.
Suspension? car could used it not trying to go crazy but what would you recommend?

Turbos are more efficent and less stress on the engine, for 4cylinders they're the only real choice. Just for supension I'd suggect Strut tower bracers and upgrading sway bars only real choice. I'm suprized you havnt had to change your linkage yet

But a turbo is a lot of custom work if I am assuming correctly. And you have to build the engine to withstand the boost pressure.
Supercharger might not be as efficient but its pure bolt on power. : )

What about a ProCharger? Sounds like a pretty cool hybrid of the two above options.

I'm no boost expert, but the SVT engine can withstand a moderate boost without any internal upgrades (turbo that is).

You could be completely right. I am no boost expert either. I guess I just assumed you would have to do lots of internal upgrades regardless of any stock engine. I guess you learn something everyday! Thanks Chris.

what turbo would you recommend ? and what have people done that was relatively inexpensive and efficient? what else do you need to get a little 8psi of boast put onto this svt.?
